Happy Summer!

The breaking of dawn on Florida’s Gulf Coast is a wonderful place to welcome a new day. From Destin to the coastal towns along Highway 30a, sunrises never disappoint in this famed area know as the Emerald Coast.

The vibrant blue-green waters contrasted with an apricot sky is always appealing. A real boost for those of us drawn to nature’s color displays. 

I've never met a sunrise I didn't like, whether it’s the Gulf Coast or along the Atlantic Coast. The colors seen during the  morning light are definitely worth noting. Hints of the glowing sky color accent the incoming tide along the shore. 

I wanted to convey that early morning sensation with this work of the waves quietly lapping on the shore, the calling birds overhead and a gentle breeze blowing at daybreak.  A very tranquil scene and  a definite slowdown-as if time is standing still. 

The kind of beach morning to savor.
